Tunnel vision

On a recent business trip to London I was on the Heathrow Express with some colleagues when suddenly what appeared to be a video advertisement for Windows Vista started on the train windows. It only lasted around 15 seconds, and the three of us were like – ‘Wow – what was THAT?’. Thinking about it, it became clear that it was a series of cleverly placed and lit billboards in a series that gave the effect of a video – just like a kids flip book. The impact was dramatic. A really innovative way to advertise and for the rail networks to generate revenue, but if it becomes pervasive it won’t be as exciting I’m sure.
