Welcome to Mark Stanley's Photo Gallery. As any of you who know me are aware, photography is one of my favourite hobbies, and the photos within this section of ragorder.com are the fruits of the time I spend with my beloved Canon 400d. I hope you enjoy !

Mushrooms. Mushrooms growing on a tree stump in the forest below Hellfire Club in Dublin. Shot on a Canon 400d with a Canon 17-85mm and processed in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for Mac.
pegs - processed. A cropped and processed version of one of my pegs shots. Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Mac. Added some contrast, did a cross-processing effect, and a slight desaturation. I felt that having *some* colour in here was a good thing, rather than making it completely black and white. What do you think ?Unprocessed version here
nifty fifty. Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens. Taken in my new lighbox. Simply follow these instructions to make your own lightbox.
soggy dandelion. The day before this dandelion was perfect and I had intended to capture it this way. By the time I got a chance to shoot it, it had rained and the perfection had turned to droopy, soggyness. Oh well. That's nature for you. Taken with a Canon 400d, Canon 50mm f/1.8 and Kenko extension tubes. Processed in Adobe Lightroom for Mac.
jump. Every kids favorite pastime - jumping in puddles. This time, it's my sons turn. Frozen in time, I'd love to understand what's going through his mind at this very instant - the anticipation of what's about to happen must be sending his senses through overload.
snooker table. RAW conversion and some basic processing in Photoshop CS3 for Mac.
raindrops. Raindrops on a blade of grass. Taken in Balinoulart, Co Wexford, Ireland. Minor adjustment in Lightroom for Mac. Taken with Canon 400d, Canon 50mm f/1.8, and Kenko extension tubes.
me two (1 exposure, no processing). 6sec exposure, lit twice with off camera canon speedlite 580ex II. Completely unprocessed - taken straight off the camera and uploaded. Taken with a Canon 400d and a Canon 17-85mm on manual focus
lock. A rework of a previous upload. This time with some processing. You'd never guess would you ? ;)
sleepers.
guinness tops becks. Guinness tops Becks. It tops any beer if you ask me. Esp the pint bottles. Yummy :) Taken with my Canon 400d with my Canon 50mm f/1.8 and Kenko Extension Tubes.
abstract street lights. 20 second exposure with my camera on the dashboard of my car. Croppedand processed in Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Mac. View Large On White
fallen tree. Fallen tree in the grounds of Newbridge House in Donabate, Co Dublin. My first upload of a shot taken with my new Sigma 10-20mm. Uploaded as taken. No processing.
Nob Hill. Mason Street, Nob Hill, San Francisco, California. Photoshop cross-processing effect applied using Photoshop CS3 for Mac.
seagull-howth. Slightly more cheerful than my recent dark posts :) A seagull glides on the air over the harbour in Howth, Co. Dublin, Ireland. You can see the yacht club in the bottom left.
retro. Cross processing effect applied to a shot taken of my kids, which results in quite a retro effect. Makes the shot look like something shot on film in the early 80's. A contact tells me this resembles a cross between xpro velvia 50 mixed with xpro Kodak Elite Chrome in the film world.
water-closeup. Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Mac
