Lough Ennell, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. The lake is 7 km long by 3km wide with an area of 1300 hectares. An important feature of this lake is its huge area of shallow water. Half the lake is less than 5 meters deep. Lough Ennell produced Irelands largest ever lake brown trout at 26lbs (11.8 Kg)
Robin. I chased this little fella around for about 15mins with the cumbersome Canon 70-200mm f/2.8. Finally got this shot which I'm pretty happy with. Taken in Belvedere House & Gardens in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, Ireland using the aforementioned lens on a Canon 400d (Digital Rebel Xti). Basic contrast and saturation processing in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for Mac.View On Black
Spire. The Spire on Dublin's O'Connell Street. Taken with a Canon 400d and a Sigma 10-20mm and processed in Adobe Lightroom for Mac.
Mini Race. My sons scalextric set. No processing

Foggy Lens. This was one of those happy accidents. My Canon 17-85 lens was cold and when I took it out of its bag it fogged up in the warm house. This resulted in a misty look to the window and overall an overexposed shot. With a simple Lightroom filter added, I think it looks quite cool.
Leaving Alcatraz. The weirdest ever location for a meeting with my boss, but we like to do things differently around here :)
Glasnevin Graveyard.
drugs do work. The cocktail of painkillers, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and vitamins my wife is taking today after having two wisdom teeth removed yesterday.Taken with a Canon 400d, Canon 50mm f/1.8, and extension tubes. Cropped and processed very slightly in Lightroom 2.0 for Mac.
Dollymount. Dollymount Strand in Dublin on a cold but beautiful Winters day. Completely overprocessed in Lightroom 2.1 for Mac, but it is what it is and it's not supposed to reflect reality :)
Mushrooms. Mushrooms growing on a tree stump in the forest below Hellfire Club in Dublin. Shot on a Canon 400d with a Canon 17-85mm and processed in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for Mac.
erin. My daughter Erin in the new vegetable garden in Dublins Botanic Gardens. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for Mac.
me two (1 exposure, no processing). 6sec exposure, lit twice with off camera canon speedlite 580ex II. Completely unprocessed - taken straight off the camera and uploaded. Taken with a Canon 400d and a Canon 17-85mm on manual focus
Storm Approaching. Taken on Dollymount strand a few weeks ago. One of those days where the sun was splitting the rocks one minute, and then lashing rain the next. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for Mac and uploaded with the very cool Export to Flickr Plugin - bit.ly/2GtKji. Thanks to my unknown and unsuspecting model for adding the human element to this shot!
Summer 2008. This photo sums up the recent 'summer' weather in Ireland. This is using my own manual tweaks to a 'Lomo camera with Velvia film' preset I downloaded for Adobe Lightroom for Mac. Taken with a Canon 400d and Canon 50mm f/1.8
Botanic Gardens, Dublin. Sign above the gate at the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin. Processed using the 300 preset in Adobe Lightroom for Mac. Taken with a Canon 400d and a Canon 50mm f/1.8
Erin. 300 Preset in Adobe Lightroom for Mac with some manual tweaks to vignette, contrast, brightness and saturation.
Cian. What a handsome little boy he is!
Erin and I. Processed in Lightroom 1 for Mac
pegs - processed. A cropped and processed version of one of my pegs shots. Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Mac. Added some contrast, did a cross-processing effect, and a slight desaturation. I felt that having *some* colour in here was a good thing, rather than making it completely black and white. What do you think ?Unprocessed version here

ruined wall. One of the many ruined buildings in St. Anne's Park in Raheny, Dublin, Ireland. Both ugly and beautiful at the same time. Processed in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Mac.
Desk post cleaning. I did some serious desk tidying the last few days. Things are now manageable in my little work world. The piled up paperwork was really getting out of hand. Now I know where everything is again. This photo has more notes than any other photo I've ever uploaded. Go check em out.
